The project involves the construction of the largest cable-stayed bridge in the United States. This bridge spans the entrance channel to the Port of Corpus Christi, with six spans and a maximum span of 504 meters in the main span. The structure is 62 meters wide to allow access to the Port of Corpus Christi for the largest ocean-going vessels, including those crossing the Panama Canal.
