Ara Tūhono – Pūhoi a Wellsford Highway Construction Project
Protecnium proudly announces the completion of the Ara Tūhono - Pūhoi to Wellsford highway in New Zealand. This significant civil engineering project involved constructing 18.5 km of highway and seven bridges, enhancing regional connectivity. Our dedicated team optimized designs and utilized advanced technologies, including drones, to ensure precision and efficiency. Winston-Salem Northern Beltway
The project involves the construction of a new 3-lane highway for each direction over 4 miles (6.4 km) between US 158 and I-40 in Forsyth County. The work also includes the corresponding links with these two highways, the construction of 18 bridges and the placement of acoustic screens.
US 181 Harbor Bridge Replacement
The project involves the construction of the largest cable-stayed bridge in the United States. This bridge crosses the entrance channel to the port of Corpus Christi, with six sections and a maximum span of 504 meters in the main section.
D4R7 Bratislava

Our latest achievement, the Ara Tūhono - Pūhoi to Wellsford Highway, involved the construction of 18.5 kilometers of new highway, featuring 4 lanes and 7 bridges. Over six years, our expert team worked to deliver a modern, safe infrastructure that improves regional connectivity and significantly reduces travel times. Key roles in the project included a Quantity Manager, CAD Technician, Survey Manager, and Site Production Engineer, who all contributed to optimizing design, minimizing bridge construction, and increasing earthworks.
The use of drones was essential in monitoring earth movements, ensuring precision and efficiency. This accomplishment was made possible thanks to our collaboration with NX2 Group and Acciona, whose commitment and expertise played a crucial role in this project’s success. US 181 Harbor Bridge Replacement
The project involves the construction of the largest cable-stayed bridge in the United States. This bridge crosses the entrance channel to the port of Corpus Christi, with six sections and a maximum span of 504 meters in the main section. The structure is 62 meters wide to allow access to the Corpus Christi port for the largest transoceanic ships, including those that cross the Panama Canal.

D4R7 Bratislava
El D4R7- Bratislava Bypass consiste en el diseño, construcción, financiación y operación de 27 km de la autopista D4 alrededor de Bratislava, Eslovaquia, así como de 32 km de la autopista R7. La nueva autopista D4 de 27 km creará un desvío hacia el este de la ciudad y una conexión con las carreteras radiales existentes. Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT)
Extension of SR 821 (HEFT) from Florida Turnpike to south of Miramar Parkway, in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The HEFT main highway widens from four lanes to eight lanes, three 12-foot general-purpose lanes and a 12-foot express lane. Other project work includes milling and repaving, road widening, bridge widening, pavement marking, lighting, ITS, noise walls, and drainage improvements.
Protecnium provides specialized field surveying equipment, as well as surveying headquarters.
Connector East End
The North Carolina Department of Transportation builds the East End connector in Durham County to provide a direct connection between the Durham Expressway (NC 147) and Miami Boulevard (US 70), two major east-west triangle roads. Improves access to I -85 and I-40. The estimated cost for such a project amounts to $ 142 million.
The work involves building a 1.25-mile highway from NC 147 to US 70 and converting approximately 2.75 miles from US 70, which will be part of the East End Connector, into a highway.
Protecnium provides surface surveyors and surveying aids.
Fort Lauderdale Project

The N25 New Ross Bypass is a 14km dual carriageway that includes new connections on National Routes N25 and N30. The beltway begins on the N25 at Glenmore, then crosses the Barrow River with a 3-stack bridge approximately 900 meters long from Pink Point to Stokestown in Wexford County and continues to the N30 junction at Corcorans Cross.

The Follo Line Project is currently the largest transport project in Norway. The project consists of a new 22 km double-track railway line between Oslo Central Station and the new station at Ski, south of Oslo.
HS2
HS2 Project (High Speed Line 2) that will connect London to Birmingham in 2026 (Phase 1) and, later, in 2033, will extend to Manchester and Leeds (Phase 2), with a “Y” configuration. The Line is being designed for a maximum speed of 400 km / h and, once completed, will allow a peak hour frequency of 18 trains per direction.
Oran Tram
The Oran Tramway is one of his most emblematic works in the Middle East. With the capacity to transport 90,000 passengers a day, it will allow up to 88 million people to use its facilities annually.
Underground London. Bank Station

Mostaganem Tram Line
The Project consists of the first line of the Mostaganem tram, in Algeria, a 14-kilometer railway infrastructure that will have 24 stations and that can meet the demand of this population of 150,000 inhabitants. The project has a budget of 250 million euros, under the turnkey modality.

The project consists of a 35-year concession for the project, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of line 2 and a branch of line 4 of the Lima Metro that goes to Jorge Chávez International airport.

Oran Tram

The Oran Tram, with a budget of 365 million euros, has a bidirectional line of 18.7 kilometers in length with 32 stations, 11 electrical substations, two viaducts and an underpass. At one end, in “Sidi Màarouf”, some 70,000 m2 garages were built with a workshop, a washing tunnel, a service station, a System Control Center (PCC) and an administrative building, at the other end, in “ Es Senia ”, an 11,750 m2 train parking lot was built outside with an administrative control building.
Protecnium provided surface surveyors and surveying aids as well as delineation specialists.
Underground London. Bank Station
The works will increase the station's capacity by 40%, improving accessibility and reducing interchange times when completed in 2021. The station will remain open for the five-year project. The changes will include a new rail tunnel and a platform for the Northern line that will reduce interchange times and create more space for passengers, seamless access to the Northern line and DLR platforms, more direct routes, with two new mobile walkways, three new elevators, 12 new escalators, and a new station entrance on Cannon Street.

The excavation is carried out with two TBMs operated in EPB mode as well as an 8 km section in conventional.

US 181 Harbor Bridge Replacement
The project involves the construction of the largest cable-stayed bridge in the United States. This bridge crosses the entrance channel to the port of Corpus Christi, with six sections and a maximum span of 504 meters in the main section. The structure is 62 meters wide to allow access to the Corpus Christi port for the largest transoceanic ships, including those that cross the Panama Canal.

D4R7 Bratislava
El D4R7- Bratislava Bypass consiste en el diseño, construcción, financiación y operación de 27 km de la autopista D4 alrededor de Bratislava, Eslovaquia, así como de 32 km de la autopista R7. La nueva autopista D4 de 27 km creará un desvío hacia el este de la ciudad y una conexión con las carreteras radiales existentes. El proyecto también implica la construcción de la nueva autopista radial R7 de 32 kilómetros, que corre en dirección sur-este desde el centro de la ciudad.
El proyecto contruirá 14 conexiones con autopistas existentes, 122 puentes y un gran puente sobre el Danubio.

Oran Tram
The Oran Tramway is one of his most emblematic works in the Middle East. With the capacity to transport 90,000 passengers a day, it will allow up to 88 million people to use its facilities annually.
The Oran Tram, with a budget of 365 million euros, has a bidirectional line of 18.7 kilometers in length with 32 stations, 11 electrical substations, two viaducts and an underpass. At one end, in “Sidi Màarouf”, some 70,000 m2 garages were built with a workshop, a washing tunnel, a service station, a System Control Center (PCC) and an administrative building, at the other end, in “ Es Senia ”, an 11,750 m2 train parking lot was built outside with an administrative control building.
Protecnium provided surface surveyors and surveying aids as well as delineation specialists.
Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT)
Extension of SR 821 (HEFT) from Florida Turnpike to south of Miramar Parkway, in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The HEFT main highway widens from four lanes to eight lanes, three 12-foot general-purpose lanes and a 12-foot express lane. Other project work includes milling and repaving, road widening, bridge widening, pavement marking, lighting, ITS, noise walls, and drainage improvements.
Protecnium provides specialized field surveying equipment, as well as surveying headquarters.
N25 New Ross Bypass
The N25 New Ross Bypass is a 14km dual carriageway that includes new connections on National Routes N25 and N30. The beltway begins on the N25 at Glenmore, then crosses the Barrow River with a 3-stack bridge approximately 900 meters long from Pink Point to Stokestown in Wexford County and continues to the N30 junction at Corcorans Cross.
Protecnium contributed the topographic field work, both for earthworks and structures.

Battersea Power Station is a London Underground station under construction, as part of the North Line Extension (NLE). The future station will be located in Zone 1, and is part of the extension from Kennington to attend the remodeling of the Battersea Power Station. The station will serve as a terminal for the new line, and will also serve as an interchange with the Battersea Park train station.
1390 MW Waad Al Shamal Combined Cycle Power Plant
The project includes the construction of a 1,390 megawatt combined cycle power plant located in the mining town of Waad Al Shamal, Saudi Arabia.
Remodeling of the Main Terminal at Denver airport
The "Great Hall" project carried out an improvement to the Jeppesen terminal of the Denver International Airport that covers an area of more than 70,000 square meters.

The works will increase the station's capacity by 40%, improving accessibility and reducing interchange times when completed in 2021. The station will remain open for the five-year project.

The project consists of the execution of the Plant Balance (BOP) works of the steel complex promoted by the Algerian Qatari Steel corporation in the Bellaraindustrial zone.
Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station is a London Underground station under construction, as part of the North Line Extension (NLE). The future station will be located in Zone 1, and is part of the extension from Kennington to attend the remodeling of the Battersea Power Station. The station will serve as a terminal for the new line, and will also serve as an interchange with the Battersea Park train station. The station has an entrance architecture created by Grimshaw. Art on the Underground has commissioned artist Alexandre da Cunha to install a permanent work of art in the station's ticket hall - a 100-meter-long kinetic sculpture.

1390 MW Waad Al Shamal Combined Cycle Power Plant
The project includes the construction of a 1,390 megawatt combined cycle power plant located in the mining town of Waad Al Shamal, Saudi Arabia. The plant also includes 50 megawatts of the concentrated solar plant that will integrate with the CCGT water-steam cycle. The project will be able to provide the equivalent energy needed to supply more than 500,000 Saudi homes.
Protecnium contributed the Direction of Topography, as well as office and field topography, civil field engineers for foundations and the direction of the quality department.
Remodeling of the Main Terminal at Denver airport
The "Great Hall" project carried out an improvement to the Jeppesen terminal of the Denver International Airport that covers an area of more than 70,000 square meters. Improvements include new commercial and restaurant areas, relocation and expansion of security zones, improvement of access to the building and passenger traffic flows, a new check-in area and optimization of space and efficiency of the terminal.
Protecnium contributed two field surveyors specialized in construction of structures.

The works will increase the station's capacity by 40%, improving accessibility and reducing interchange times when completed in 2021. The station will remain open for the five-year project. The changes will include a new rail tunnel and a platform for the Northern line that will reduce interchange times and create more space for passengers, seamless access to the Northern line and DLR platforms, more direct routes, with two new mobile walkways, three new elevators, 12 new escalators, and a new station entrance on Cannon Street.

The investment in the project is around 500 million euros, making it a unique initiative that will place the Aragonese community at the forefront of renewable energy worldwide. 850 MW will be developed, 54% of the 1,550 that was awarded in the third renewable energy auction of the Ministry of Energy. Escatrón will be the epicenter of this photovoltaic complex, hosting ten of the 18 plants in its term, while five will be in Chiprana and another three in Samper de Calanda.
