The stretch is divided into two sections of 7.2 meters in diameter, both starting from Kirtling Street. The first, 5 kilometers long, heads east until it reaches CarnwathRoad, while the second, 7.7 kilometers long, moves west until it ends at Chambers Wharf. The 12.7 kilometers that the central section measures make it the longest in the tunnel, which will have a total length of 25 kilometers. The contract also includes the construction of 8 wells between 42 and 62 meters deep, 6 connection tunnels, sewers, interception chambers and valves.

Protecnium provides tunnel surveyors, surface surveyors and surveying assistants, as well as civil tunnel engineers, shift managers, tunnel boring machine drivers, and segment specialists.

The project involves the construction of a new 3-lane highway for each direction over 4 miles (6.4 km) between US 158 and I-40 in Forsyth County. The work also includes the corresponding links with these two highways, the construction of 18 bridges and the placement of acoustic screens.

The Follo Line Project is currently the largest transport project in Norway. The project consists of a new 22 km double-track railway line between Oslo Central Station and the new station at Ski, south of Oslo. The main part of the 20 km long tunnel will be built, which will be the longest in Scandinavia when completed in late 2022.

The project consists of five EPC contracts, in which the tunnel construction with TBM is the largest.
